Where's Ralphi

My Photographs of Nature, the story of the adventure Taken to get them. Visits to Local Businesses, and stories and ideas about a little bit of everything else.

It has been a very, very long year for myself and my family and for many people. The up and down and back and forth of our current battle’s concerning the COVID 19 Virus and the drama it has caused across every part of life has many of us drained, and discouraged. The confusion of current weather patterns and the state of our environment is unsettling to me. I love our beautiful world with it’s many colors and different seasons and challenging terrains. I love the beauty of nature in all it’s magnificent drama and theatrics, but I do not enjoy mother nature’s fury, or unexpected and unpresidented event’s. This year winter tornado’s have become common place, where they were once a rare accurance, they are now predicted to be an expected tormentor to the Midwest United States. That to me is surprising, and especially stressful. I have seen first hand the wrath of tornadoes. Blades of grass turned into deadly swords and cutting through huge beasts like butter. Entire homes and it’s occupants being lifted from it’s foundation and dropped in Lake Michigan, toys, bicycles and lawn furniture embedded into vehicles and the outer walls of homes, golfball size hail pounding and denting roofs and cars and destroying entire crops. Flooded streets and power outages and total destruction. I’m accepting of these things being of natural seasonal accurance, but to think that it’s no longer a season but a new normal throughout the year, especially when it’s freezing outside will take some time to absorb. I hope we all can accept that we have a lot of problems that need our attention, but I hope our natural world is considered a top priority and addressed accordingly. We truly can not deny that we need our environment healthy for survival of everyone. I hope all of you stay safe and warm through the coming chilly and snowy days.
